The majority of Taco trucks are small business enterprises
with the owner also acting as driver. It is common in the business for a
beginning driver to start by taking on the route of an experience driver
who has established client base. The established driver will than expand
his business by purchasing a second truck and a new route, thus becoming
both a driver and manager of two routes and through this process will eventually
accumulate a fleet of several food vans.
