While the transient taco truck moves quickly among lower-density locations to serve a diverse mix of needs, the semi-permanent truck takes on the location memory of a fixed restaurant. The semi-permanent type could be considered the more mature phase of a taco trucks lifespan; they have found a niche that can be exploited without the need for constant roaming. Many of these semi-permanent restaurants have taken on some of the look of fixed restaurants with outdoor seating, and the ability customers to call in orders to a cell phone, for pick up later.
