The
10 mile trenched portion of the corridor begins at Route 91 in Compton and terminates
near 25th street in Los Angeles, traversing the cities of Compton, South Gate,
Lynwood, Huntington Park, and Vernon. The project was constructed by the Alameda
Corridor Transportation Authority – a joint powers agency known as ACTA
governed by the cities and ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach and the Los Angeles
County Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
