Tracing invisible lines across the desert, the FAA relay towers are integral to the aviation infrastructure. The towers provide a corridor for commercial aviation into Los Angeles and other southwestern cities. The aviation corridors often run parallel to the freeway, train, and power lines, but the radar path is mostly invisible except for the small bungalow spaced approximately 25 miles apart along the floor of the desert.
